License and Support

The License and Support page (sidebar → License and Support) is the only screen that always works, no matter which modules it includes Your license — this is the place to go to see what's active, renew, or ask for help.

Overview of the License Page

From top to bottom: a status banner, a Support card, a License Server card (showing server health and a (manual license verification included), a verification card with netdd, and a card for Replace / Change Plan / Delete license.

The status banner shows your billing plan, activation date, expiration date (or "Never" for perpetual licenses), a usage counter if your The plan is quota-based; the maximum number of nodes per deployment, the name/ID of your client, and a fingerprint of this installation. Below, two Drop-down lists show all the modules your plan might include — the ones you have, highlighted in green, and the ones you don't, in gray. This is the only product page listing the names of all the modules, purely as a status symbol — appearing here doesn't unlock anything.

Billing Models

Stranola supports four billing models, and the banner adapts to the who uses your license:

  • Perpetual — no expiration date, no usage meter, and no dependencies online: works completely offline, including the button "Check License" on this page (see below).
  • Subscription — displays an expiration date with a countdown of days remaining.
  • Usage Quota — displays a progress bar showing the amount of usage consumed compared to your plan's maximum.
  • Subscription + Usage — displays both the expiration countdown and the toolbar.

License Server

Stranola Contact a license server to activate, renew, and Verify your license. There is a default server, ready to use, Preconfigured — you don't need to change anything to get started.

License Server Card

If you have your own license server (or need to point to one (different), the License Server card lets you manage a URL list: Add a new one, select it from the drop-down menu, and click Use to make it the active server, or delete an entry saved (the default server cannot be deleted). Switch to The server change takes effect immediately—no restart is required.

Employee Health

Click Verify Connection to test the server URL that is currently selected in the drop-down menu — useful for validating a URL new or self-hosted before switching to it. Let us know if the The address responds as a genuine Stranola license server, and, If so, please provide your version and signature.

Check License

Click Send Pulse to manually contact the server licenses right now instead of waiting for the next review Automatic. Update your expiration date and remaining uses immediately, and will mark your license as inactive immediately if the server no longer recognizes — useful right after switching plans, or to confirm that the Connectivity is working fine. In the background, Stranola does this as well automatically at regular intervals, with a grace period in case of problems transient network conditions; the manual button bypasses that grace period and displays the result instantly. For perpetual licenses, this button does not It doesn't do any harm—there's nothing to check online.

Verification with netdd

Verification with netdd

Stranola signs a short-term sublicense for each deployment so that netdd (the transfer engine run by your customers PXE) You can trust the master. Click Verify with netdd to Confirm that the operator key embedded in your binary is netdd The packaging actually matches the one used for this installation of NetEdge — if they don't match, customers will reject the deployments with a signature error. This check runs automatically once every Open the page; you can repeat this at any time.

Replace, change your plan, or delete

The Replace / Change Plan / Delete card lets you activate a new license at any time — there are no files to upload, Just a short activation key in the form NE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Entering a new password here always works the same way, whether it's your first time activation or renewal—the previous license simply overwrite it with the new one.

Replace or remove a license

Delete Local License removes the license file from this Installation without contacting the license server — your key is not It is not released or revoked on the server, so you can continue to enable it here again or on another computer. Deleting the license blocks the new deployments (including simulations) until a new key; the rest of the application, including this page, remains operating normally.
